New media has opened up new opportunities to engage with an audience and market. There is blogging, forums, social networks and video but one form of Internet marketing that is not talked about as much or as widely used is the podcast.
Whether you are in your car, at home, or out biking, running, walking, or like playing computer games, listening to a podcast is a great way to multitask and learn new things in the process. But a word of caution, if the podcast has lot of useful information, you will want to be in a place where you can safely take notes.
Internet marketing is evolving quickly and there’s a lot to keep up with. A podcast allows you to digest information on your own schedule.
Below are three great sites for Internet Marketing podcasts:
Paul Forcey does an excellent job on his Friday podcasts. Paul usually interviews a guest with a wide range of marketing backgrounds. If you want to learn about Internet marketing, his weekly podcasts are an excellent resource.
This is a new site put out by two Aussie’s Kevin Garber and James Peter that know their stuff. The podcast covers all issues relating to the tech economy but they do cover social media and Internet marketing. They’ve done a great job on their first few episodes with interviews and insights on these topics.
Ian Holm has strong opinions and his Halo 18 site (No Hats – All Rank) podcasts allows him to efficiently get his views out without spending hours writing a post. Ian solicits questions in the comments or to his Twitter handle for future episodes so drop him a line.
There are many other Internet marketing podcasts out there but these are my three favorite thus far. Other podcasts I’ve heard tend to be more general in nature or for newbies. In addition to the websites, you can also access and vote for these podcasts on iTunes. Do you have a favorite Internet marketing podcast? Let us know in the comments.
